We are committed to providing exemplary service to our customers and in conjunction with that commitment, we have provided answers to a variety of frequently asked question.
Q)      Who owns the equipment I will be renting?
A)      INSIGHT IMAGING owns and operates its fleet of mobile rental units. Since INSIGHT IMAGING is the owner,this eliminates the added expense of broker or middleman. If service issues arise, this means you will be dealing directly with the owner.
Q)      What is included in the monthly rental fee?
A)      The monthly fee includes, unless negotiated otherwise, transportation to and from your location; coach set up at your location at the beginning of the rental period and pick up at the end of the rental period; monthly service for the diagnostic equipment in the mobile rental unit and maintenance and repairs (arising from normal and proper use) on the coach.
Q)      How can I be sure the mobile rental unit is going to be clean and in working order?
A)      INSIGHT IMAGING has every mobile rental unit inspected, cleaned, and inventoried prior to delivery to your location. In most cases the unit will arrive a day early to ensure the unit is set and operating properly.
Q)      Will I be able to network with the mobile rental unit?
A)      Prior to delivery, INSIGHT IMAGING will have the diagnostic equipment manufacturer (the OEM) representative contact your IT representative to identify and review any networking or connectivity issues.
Q)      Who is responsible to ensure my site is suitable for and accessible by a mobile rental unit?
A)      In most cases INSIGHT IMAGING can assist you, however you are responsible for the site preparation.
Q)      If I have service issues with the imaging equipment on the unit, how do I get them corrected?
A)      INSIGHT IMAGING has OEM service on all diagnostic and filming equipment including laser cameras and injectors. If a service situation arises, simply call the OEM service organization and place a service call. If you are not satisfied with the OEM response you can call one of your INSIGHT IMAGING contacts for assistance in service escalation and resolution.
Q)      If I have service issues with the coach, how do I get them corrected?
A)      INSIGHT IMAGING has a network of vendors and internal maintenance personnel across most of the country. We will provide to you a list of contacts for service on coach issues.
Q)      What type of electrical service do I need to operate the mobile rental unit?
A)      All mobile rental units (including the imaging equipment) will operate on 480 volt / 3 phase / 150 amp service. The service should be 5-wire (wye) configuration with a Russell Stoll connector (part # DF2504FRAB). For more details request a site-planning guide.
Q)      What type of phone connections will I need?
A)      To operate the mobile rental units and meet the requirements of OEM service, the mobile rental unit will require two phone lines. One must be direct dial-in for the service modem. The phone cords connect to a Hubbell Marine connector (part #PH6597). For more details request a site-planning guide.
Q)      Who is responsible for disposables, i.e. film, contrast, linens, etc.
A)      As the operator of unit, you are responsible for all disposables used at your location.
Q)      When does the rental term begin?
A)      We will schedule a rental start date with you and deliver our unit generally one day prior to the start date. This will allow the OEM time to check out the mobile rental unit in preparation of your first day of use. The rental term begins when the mobile rental unit is available for you to begin using for training personnel and/or scanning patients.
Q)      Does INSIGHT IMAGING provide any other services?
A)      We offer a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services including MRI, PET, lithotripsy, CT, mammography, ultrasound, and radiography services, provided through shared-service and outpatient imaging arrangements. For more details visit our website at www.insighthealth.com
